STAITHE
Containers over SSH

Privacy Policy

Staithe for iPhone and iPad · Effective

In short: Staithe does not collect, sell or share your data. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads. Your hosts, passwords and keys stay on your device, in Staithe’s storage and the Keychain.

What Staithe does on your network

Staithe connects over SSH to the servers you add and runs the docker commands you see in the app, such as docker ps, docker logs or docker compose pull. The connection goes straight from your device to the address you enter; nothing goes through our servers, because there are none. While Staithe is open it refreshes what’s on screen, every 15 seconds on Containers and every 5 on a container’s detail, and it stops when it goes to the background. iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time Staithe connects to a host on your network.

Data stored on your device

Deleting Staithe deletes its files. Keychain items may stay on the device after the app is deleted, as iOS keeps them. Staithe’s files may be included in your own iCloud or computer backups, as with any app; we cannot read those backups.

Purchases

Staithe is free for 14 days, then one purchase unlocks it for good. The trial is a $0 App Store product, so Apple, not Staithe, keeps its start date. The unlock is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether the trial has started and whether Staithe is unlocked. Apple’s handling of purchase data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

What we don’t do

Children

Staithe is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
